HopCollect Data, Inc. ("HopCollect," "we," "us," or "our") maintains business
contact directories of US-based craft breweries for use by our customers and
approved partners. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and
disclose business contact information, and explains the rights available to
California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the
California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA").
1. Scope and Subjects
This Policy applies exclusively to information about commercial entities and
their designated business contacts located within the United States. We do not
knowingly collect, process, or transfer the personal data of individuals located
in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, and
the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") does not apply to our processing
activities. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the
age of 13.
2. Information We Collect
The categories of business contact information we collect and maintain include:
Organization Name — the legal or trade name of the business
Location Data — city and US state code of the business premises
Email Address — the publicly listed or business-provided contact email
Phone Number — the publicly listed or business-provided contact phone number
All information is gathered from publicly available sources, business filings,
trade publications, and direct submissions from the businesses themselves.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above for the following business purposes:
To build, maintain, and enrich our commercial directory products
To provide subscription and licensed data services to our customers
To deliver analytics and market research to authorized recipients
To verify, validate, and improve the quality and accuracy of our data
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
4. Data Storage
Storage: Storage of this information is permitted. We retain
business contact records in secure cloud infrastructure located within the
United States.
5. Disclosure and Sharing
We may share business contact information with a limited set of recipients,
strictly for the purposes described in this Policy:
Service providers who process data on our behalf under
written contract (for example, hosting, data validation, and analytics vendors)
Approved business partners with whom we have an active
data-licensing agreement that includes confidentiality and use-limitation terms
Sharing: Sharing with approved service providers and contracted
partners is permitted. We do not share business contact
information with the general public or with unaffiliated third parties who lack
a contractual relationship with HopCollect.
6. No Sale of Information
Sale: We do not sell personal information to
third parties. Business contact records are made available only through
controlled licensing arrangements with vetted recipients, and are not offered
for outright sale, resale, or transfer on open or public data marketplaces.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
Under the CCPA and CPRA, California residents have the right to:
Know what categories of personal information are collected, used, and shared
Request access to and a copy of their personal information
Request deletion of their personal information, subject to applicable exceptions
Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the sharing of their personal information
Be free from discrimination for exercising any of the above rights
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a verifiable request to
privacy@hopcollect.example. We
will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days as
required by law.
8. Data Retention
We retain business contact records for as long as necessary to provide our
services and to comply with our legal and contractual obligations. Records no
longer needed are securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal
retention schedule.
9. Security
HopCollect implements reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and
physical safeguards designed to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the
information we maintain, including encryption in transit, access controls, and
routine security audits.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at
the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
